WANDERERS will beat Dougie Freedman to the punch and land Manchester United keeper Ben Amos.
The 24-year-old stopper, officially released at Old Trafford today, has been in talks with the Whites for some time but has also attracted interest from elsewhere after a stellar loan spell at the Macron Stadium last season.
Among the suitors was ex-Wanderers boss Freedman, who is in the market for a keeper at Nottingham Forest.
It now appears, however, that Amos has turned down the move to Forest and is heading for Bolton to be their number one keeper this season.
As one keeper enters another leaves at Wanderers, with Adam Bogdan likely to seal his move to Liverpool by the end of the week.
