WANDERERS striker Conor Wilkinson is on the verge of signing for Barnsley.
The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international has held talks with the League One side today and the deal could be completed in the next 48 hours.
Wilkinson is well known to Barnsley boss Lee Johnson, who loaned him at Oldham on two occasions last season.
The 20-year-old broke into the first team ranks at the Macron Stadium last season, making seven appearances in all competitions.
But with Neil Lennon looking to add at least two more strikers to his ranks this summer, opportunities were likely to be thin on the ground for the former Millwall man.
Wanderers maintain a fee has been discussed, but not agreed, and the youngster is yet to discuss personal terms.
