BOLTON Under-8s kept up their unbeaten record this season after two fine performances against Broughton Park at Avenue Street.

The hosts started brightly with quick hands by Oliver Brennand and great support play by Core Morgan saw Morgan score in the corner for the first of three first match tries.

Tries were traded with some good individual play by a couple of the visiting players but Bolton scored at almost two tries to every one conceded and ran out 15-8 winners with all players getting on the score sheet, Oliver Brennand scored five and Liam Jenkins added three.

Meanwhile, in the second match, Bolton continued their fine form with a 13-7 victory.

Liam Jenkins made a much welcomed return to try scoring ways after a couple of off weeks.

Recent new players Archie Halls, Jack Pollitt and Tom Green all continue to improve and all got on the scoresheet.

Also in action at Avenue Street on Sunday, the u12s went down by one try to the same opposition.

In a hard-fought match, two tries each from Ben Price and Oliver Keogh were not enough affect the outcome.

The match saw excellent strength shown by new signing Lewis Stephenson and some big tackling from veteran Sam Atherton.

Special mention must go to captain Connor Whittle who had a superb game on his welcome return from serious injury.
