JOHN Sheridan rapped reporters for linking him with the vacant job at Wanderers.
The Oldham boss produced a spiky response after watching the Latics beaten 3-0 at Millwall on Saturday, insisting he had heard nothing from his former club.
Sheridan has been widely regarded as a target for Wanderers with Oldham issuing an official “hands-off” statement early last week, which intensified the speculation on his future.
But the former Republic of Ireland international says he has no case to answer.
“I haven’t heard a thing off Bolton,” he said. “I am Oldham manager.
“If people are interested in me so be it, But I haven’t heard a thing.
“I am Oldham manager and have got a two-year contract so there is your answer.
“I have not heard anything from Bolton Wanderers so I won’t be going to Bolton Wanderers. There is your answer.”
