WANDERERS have confirmed their first pre-season friendly, with a local derby against Preston North End penned in at the Macron Stadium.
The game will take place on Saturday, July 30, with a 3pm kick off.
Wanderers failed to beat Simon Grayson’s side in two meetings this season, fighting out a dull 0-0 draw on Halloween night in October at Deepdale. They then welcomed North End to the Macron in March, slipping to a 2-1 defeat in what proved to be Neil Lennon’s final game in charge.
Wanderers have not yet confirmed details of their pre-season schedule but it is understood there are plans for a foreign training camp, with some friendly games played abroad.
The League One season kicks off on August 6.
