WANDERERS (3-5-2)

BEN ALNWICK…6.5 Some complaint about whether he should have got to Elliott’s header but Alnwick did make two important stops from Poleon and Meades. Kicking was a bit wayward at times.

DORIAN DERVITE…6 Long time since the Frenchman started a Wanderers game, so some rustiness was to be expected. Beaten for the goal but, crucially, didn’t allow it to affect him. May yet play a part this season.

DAVID WHEATER…7 In good form. Should have scored early on with a header but made a couple of excellent blocks when those around him were standing still.

MARK BEEVERS…6.5 Not in the sort of imperious mood he was earlier in the season but defensively, this was a step in the right direction. Distribution still hit and miss on the day.

FILIPE MORAIS…7.5 Never stopped running at defenders, produced some quality crosses and went very close to scoring with the free kick. Should have opened his account for Wanderers late on but the winger is proving to be a very canny addition.

TOM THORPE…5 Game passed him by in the first half and that allowed Wimbledon to get back on level terms. Second half was better but by then the damage had been done.

JOSH VELA…7 Huge amount of energy, chasing everything in an effort to get things going. Went close with one half volley from the edge of the box.

DERIK OSEDE…6 Didn’t get on the ball as much as Phil Parkinson would probably have liked. Still looks better playing as a centre-back.

ANDY TAYLOR…6 Up against a good player in Francomb, which checked some of his natural attacking tendencies and meant his usually consistent supply of crosses from the left was toned down.

ADAM LE FONDRE…5 Still searching for the sharpness and even though his scrappiness created a couple of chances – Wanderers need him in the penalty box doing what he does best.

GARY MADINE…6.5 Excellent start and a fine header for his ninth goal of the season. Lost his way a little in the middle third of the game but linked play well, generally speaking.
