IT was honours even in the top-flight derby between Blackrod Town and Little Lever.

Little Lever’s point, courtesy of Austin Almond scoring, moved the second-placed team – who host Blackrod in the reverse fixture this Saturday – to a point behind Old Boltonians, who suffered a 2-1 defeat to Mostonians, but Old Bolts have three games in hand.

Horwich St Marys Victoria took a point from their 1-1 draw at home to champions Failsworth Dynamos.

In Division One, Bolton Wyresdale lost out by the odd goal in nine at home to Ashtonians.

Curtis Harbord’s double, with Mathew Cain and Jack Foster also netting, were not enough for Wyresdale, who sit eighth in the table but have up to six games in hand on the teams around them.
