READY FOR ACTION: Team Deane will have 28 member at the start line in Sunday's Ironman UK
SUNDAY'S annual Ironman UK triathlon in Bolton will see 28 members of Team Deane taking part.
The local triathlon club will have 18 members taking on the challenge of the 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride and 26.2-mile run for the first time.
The number takes Team Deane's total number of members who have taken on Ironman UK since the club started five years ago to just over 100 – with 80 having completed it.
They go into the event on the back of finishing second in the regional triathlon club championship which enables them to wear silver swim caps on Sunday.
