BRADSHAW, Lostock, Farnworth Social Circle and Horwich will contest finals day in the Bolton League Twenty20 competition.

The festival of big-hitting cricket will take place at Farnworth Cricket Club and be the culmination of another successful season for the league's T20 tournament, which is sponsored by PA Sports and Dixon Air Conditioning.

Bradshaw will meet Lostock in the first game at 10am, followed by Social Circle versus Horwich at 1.15pm then the final at 5pm.

In the quarter-finals last Friday, there were some remarkably similar first-innings scores with three of the teams hitting 152.

The exception was at Farnworth where the home side reached 146-9, with professional Noman Ali rescuing his side from 51-5 with 78 from 39 deliveries.

With Stuart Hornby making 33 Bradshaw appeared to be coasting at 81-1, but the outlook changed when they lost three wickets for two runs.

Not for the first time this season Jordy Mason and Nick Palmer rescued the innings with a half-century partnership and the last over was played out with Bradshaw knowing a tie was sufficient as they had lost fewer wickets.

Lostock produced an all-round batting performance against Westhoughton with Connor Hicklin top-scoring with 30 of their 152 total.

The Westhoughton reply never really got going, and they ended on 118-8 with 43 from Kieran Edwards late in the innings.

Chris Baxendale hit 82 at the top of the innings for Kearsley who finished on 152-4.

A rapid 79 from Horwich professional Brett Pelser took them to victory with more than four overs to spare.

Atherton's 152-8, with 41 from Harry Allenby, was also not enough as Imran Butt made 53 and David Tonge scored 42 not out in Farnworth Social Circle's seven-wicket win.

Finals day schedule in the PA Sports BCL T20 sponsored by Dixon Air Conditioning – 10am: Bradshaw v Lostock; 1.15pm: Farnworth SC v Horwich; 5pm: final.
