THIS week's delve into the photographic archives at The Bolton News has unearthed this picture of the Little Lever cricket team from June 1988.

There is no other information with the picture and we would like to know if it jogs the memories for readers.

Did you play for or against Little Lever at the time and recognise any faces?

Do you recall how they fared that season?

Email any recollections to david.pye@nqnw.co.uk

The second two pictures were submitted by reader Joseph Goode and feature two old photographs of St Gregory’s RC Secondary School sides, main picture and inset.

We published both photographs in last week's sporting nostalgia section and asked if anyone could recall the names of those in either team and help Mr Goode remember his school-mates.

Phil Kay, who is on both pictures, said: "In response to the article in the paper dated Thursday, July 19, regarding St Gregory's football teams, the players' names are: main picture (1968), back, from left, Mr John Roberts, Ged Pickersgill, Greg Mullineaux, Joe Eidukas, Dave Harrison, Joe Goodier, Kenny Whittleson; front, Tommy Hulton, Phil Kay, Mick Walsh, Tony Coleman (captain), Alan Hindley and Paddy Dwyer.

"On the small picture from 1964 are, back, from left, Greg Mullineaux, Joe Goodier, Joe Eidukas, Tommy Hulton, Eamonn Doyle, Mr Entwistle; front, Mick Walsh, Rob McGuinness, Dave Harrison (captain), Phil Kay, Paul Cunliffe and Michael Topping.

"These photos were originally in the Journal, dated January 18, 1968 and May 14, 1964.

"We were a small school but had a cracking team and they were all good lads."

Bernadette Tither emailed: "The main picture of the St Gregory’s football team appeared in the Farnworth Journal on the January 18, 1968.
