BURNDEN’S Anne Ferguson again scored an age-group win in the fourth Astley Park Series 4.5-miler at Chorley.
She completed the 4.5-mile course as first F60 in 33mins 35secs with Lyndsay Darbyshire second F50 in 33:20 and Shirley Staveley third in the same category in 35:07.
Pete Hopley was the first Burnden member home on the night with his time of 29:22.
Lee White was fastest at the Sale Sizzler 5k, coming home in 18:37 – just 11 seconds ahead of Marcus Taylor in 18:48. Mel Walker was second V75 in 24:42.
Don Nichol took part in the Worsthorne Moor Fell Race near Burnley and completed the seven miles in 1:02:12.
David Morrison opted for the Whittle Pike Fell Race a tough 4.5-miler at Rossendale which involved 1,400 feet of climb. David finished in 1:30:30.
Dawn Evans tackled the Lancaster Riverside 10-Mile race and crossed the line in 2:17:20.
