GOOD sports will be out on show at Little Lever High School tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday, August 14) looking to get people fit and having fun.

A whole day of activities including a football and rounders tournaments, a colour run, live music, free glitter tattoos and face painting has been planned as part of the No Mind Left Behind project.

Working with the National Citizen Service, the organisers hope to promote the benefits f participating in sport for younger people.

Event spokesman, Sam Boulger, explained: “Sport promotes the mental and physical well-being of the people who are doing it. There’s evidence to show those who get involved from an early age have better team-work skills, and higher levels of confidence then those who don’t maintain an interest in sports.

“So we’ve organised this event to have some fun and hopefully get some younger people involved during the summer holidays.”

Bolton Wanderers Community Trust have donated prizes and there will be plenty of refreshments on offer throughout the event, which runs from 10am to 4pm.

The address of the school is Church Street, Little Lever, BL3 1BT.
