MANAGERS may change but some things remain the same.

David Moyes has always regarded Wanderers as tough opponents and he doesn't expect things to be any different with Sammy Lee in charge.

In fact the Everton boss is tipping Lee to come through his baptism of fire and become a managerial success.

They have never gone head to head but Moyes believes the former Liverpool and England midfielder has what it takes to carry on where his old adversary, Sam Allardyce left off.

"I think Sammy will do is job well," Moyes said ahead of this afternoon's Reebok clash.

"He is well-experienced, he has been a coach that has worked with a lot of good managers and I am sure he will be fine, I have no doubts about that."

In 11 tussles with Wanderers since he taking charge at Goodison in March 2002, Moyes has seen Everton win five, lose four and draw two. All but two have been close encounters.

"Bolton is a tough game," he told Everton's official website. "They will have enjoyed their victory last week but it has always been a tough place to go.

"They have done terrific over the years.

"They beat my Preston team at Cardiff six years ago now to get into the Premier League and have done really well. Normally teams that come up struggle to stay up but they have not done that, they have flourished."

New signing Yakubu is expected to feature at some stage this afternoon, but Denmark midfielder Thomas Gravesen, who returned to Goodison this week on loan from Celtic, is less likely to figure. Everton have doubts over former Wanderer, Alan Stubbs, and Lee Carsley, who picked up injuries in last weekend's home draw with Blackburn.
