JOSH Bohannon continued his impressive first-class debut for Lancashire with another good batting performance and a wicket.
The Bolton all-rounder shone as the Red Rose county lost by six runs to Surrey in the top-versus-bottom County Championship clash at The Oval.
After scoring 52 in the first innings, 21-year-old former Farnworth Social Circle man Bohannon took the wicket of the league leaders’ opener Rory Burns, and conceded 13 runs from his four overs.
Then when he batted again he scored 32 runs before being caught by Burns off the bowling of Morne Morkel after facing 97 balls during 135 minutes at the crease.
Bohannon was one of three Bolton-born youngsters in the Red Rose team’s starting XI, joined by fellow former Bolton Cricket League players Haseeb Hameed and Matt Parkinson.
