HARRY Brockbank was one of three players sent off in Wanderers Under-23s’ 2-0 defeat at Burnley.
Tempers flared in the second half with Clarets’ Ali Koiki handed a straight red card for an alleged elbow on the Bolton full-back. The ensuing brawl, involving several players from both sides, also saw Brockbank pick up a second yellow card.
Burnley were then reduced to nine men when Christian N’Guessan clattered Marcus Wood in the corner. The midfielder picked up a seemingly serious injury in the process and left the field on a stretcher, requiring oxygen.
Dan Agyei and Dwight McNeil did the damage for Burnley, who also gave Belgium international Steven Defour some game time on his comeback from long-term injury.
The two goals were both scored in the first half and leave David Lee’s side without a win in their last three games.
Next up in Leeds United at home next Monday.
