THE BSF Over 35s Football League again produced a glut of goals and again Division Four team Heaton Casuals hit double figures in a 12-0 win against Deans Youth.

The top aggregate in Division One was the game at Bar Hill where they beat Radcliffe Vets A 7-3 despite Tommy Dawson scoring at hat-trick for the visitors.

Anthony Healey, Sam Shone and Andrew Buckley each scored one and Terrance Finney two for AFC Dobbies A, 5-1 winners at home to Rochdale Sports. Wayne Trynor’s goal for Rochdale prevented Dobbies from keeping a clean sheet but that was their only negative in a good day’s work.

The other games in the division were draws with Salford Victoria and Radcliffe Old Boys A failing to muster a goal between them while Bar Lane Bowling Club and Salford Waggon shared the points with Leon Hamilton and Rob Siayz on the score sheet in a 1-1 stalemate.

In Division Two, the game between Tika Taka Volunteers and Radcliffe Town ended goalless, but there were seven goals at Failsworth where strikes from Home Guard duo Ben Johnson and Lee Donahue were insufficient as a Darren Holt brace and efforts from Neil Matthews, Paul Taylor and Barry Beatie earned victory for Turton Vets.

Horwich St Mary’s and Old Bolts shared the points in a 3-3 draw in which Sammy Caldwell scored a hat-trick for the home side and Sedona, Berry and Anderson levelled for the visitors.

The three games in Division Three produced two dozen goals.

Bolton Wyresdale had a comfortable 7-2 win against Tavern Vets for whom John Giovanni and Simon Long scored, but they were no match for Wyresdale as Jason Knowles scored two and Michael Locke, Simon Walsh, Taylor Mandan, Wez Booth and Mark Grundy one each.

Martin Meehan scored all four goals for Gidlow Athletic at home to Royal Farnworth, but a Mark Drew double plus one apiece by Steve Tinny and Steve Nightingale earned a point for the visitors.

Radcliffe Old Boys B and Moss Bank Vets were involved in another high-scoring fixture which ended 4-3 to Radcliffe.

Nathan Conley scored a hat-trick and Mark Woodford one for the home side while Phil Markland hit a brace and Neill Davies another for Moss Bank.

In Division Four, Martin Jordan scored the only goal of the game to give Atherton Town victory over Wigan Town.

Bury Seniors went down 3-1 to visitors Ainsworth.

Dave Wheeler’s goal for Unity Brook proved a mere consolation as Noel Coleman and Paul Worsley both netted twice to give PF Bury a 5-1 victory.

Heaton Casuals’ emphatic win included hat-tricks by Chris Sutcliffe and Kie Seals, a brace from Rob Walsh, two more by Damian Smith and single strikes by Clint McLaughlin and Anthony McCormack in their 12-0 demolition of Deans Youth.
