WANDERERS have completed the signing of veteran winger Lloyd Dyer on a short-term deal.
The former Leicester City wide man has been looking for a club since leaving Burton Albion in the summer.
Dyer, aged 36, has more than 500 career appearances in the Football League and scored 73 goals – including four in eight appearances against Bolton. The midfielder has also never been on the losing side against Wanderers.
Wanderers – currently without the injured Sammy Ameobi – could put him straight into their squad to face Derby County this weekend at the University of Bolton Stadium.
Wanderers manager Phil Parkinson said: “We are pleased to welcome Lloyd to Bolton Wanderers.
“With Sammy’s injury lay off being longer than we first anticipated, it was important that we have more options.
“Lloyd’s experience of playing as a left wing back will give us more cover if we decide to play with a back three.”
