LOSTOCK AC's Karen Taylor headed to the Great Glen in the Scottish highlands for the annual Loch Ness Marathon and finished in just over five hours.
Starting at Knockie Lodge, the marathon route, which follows the eastern shore of Loch Ness finishing in Inverness, offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and loch.
Taylor completed the stunningly-scenic 26.2 miles in 5hrs 11mins 14secs.
Closer to home Adam Lowe completed the Lancaster Castle Marathon in 4:05:25.
The renovated terraced gardens of Rivington was the setting for the inaugural Rivington Terraced Gardens 5k.
Lostock's Paul O'Brien turned in a time of 26:44 to finish sixth, while Mark Smith made a welcome return to competitive running after a very long lay off with a time of 38:30.
Heather Miles-Marlow headed to Blackpool's Golden Mile for the Blackpool Music Run 10k, finishing in a time of 1:22:00.
Bolton parkrun saw Jocelyn Chadderton produce a personal-best time of 27:14, with Matt Allen finishing in 32:12.
Haigh Hall parkrun saw new Lostock member Gareth Platt come home in a time of 23:04, closely followed by Andy Laycock, in 23:18, and Matt Withers in 24:06.
Joanna Withers also turned in a PB of 30:08.
