CRAIG Noone is happy to keep his numbers high if it means three points at Stoke City tonight.

The Wanderers winger has consistently been top of the running stats this season, along with fellow wide man Will Buckley - their efforts recently being described by Phil Parkinson as "Premier League level."

But while Noone has rarely been seen without an ice bucket in hand to soothe his bumps, bruises and aching limbs of late, he is keen to keep up the effort levels for the good of the team.

"The gaffer has drilled into us that we need to be the two players who produce the high stats and as the old saying goes, 'the harder you work the luckier you get,' so me and Bucks have got to keep doing as much as we can for the team," he told The Bolton News.

"It was nice to get a result against Derby. It makes any aches and pains you get feel better right away. But we need to build on that now and build onn the decent start we've made to the season."

A Lancashire derby also lingers on the horizon and Noone is looking forward to a big week.

"They are two great games to get up for and it would be nice to go into the international break with a couple more results under our belts and a few more places up the table," he added.
