BURNDEN claimed two victories at the Rivington Half Marathon at the weekend.
Anne Ferguson was first F60 in 1hr 57mins 6secs and Jane Forrest was first F55 in 2:03:10.
Andy Staveley was the first Burnden runner to complete the tough course, second V55 and 23rd overall in 1:42:35.
Lyndsay Darbyshire was next, second F50 in 1:54:55.
Other notable category times came from Don Nichol, second V60 in 2:01:04, and Shirley Staveley, fourth F50 in 2:03:21. Phil Glassbrook was third V70 in 2:17:38.
Other results: Steven Bate 1:55:55, Gayle Gerrard 2:15:15, Kris Worsley 2:16:28, Craig Philpot 2:16:28, Denise Hodgkinson 2:17:14.
Jackie Oakes led home the Burnden contingent at the Chester Marathon, posting a personal-best time of 3:53:10 ahead of Phil Holden, who finished in 4:23:07.
Sarah Woodiwiss also came in under five hours with her time of 4:58:18, while Debra Hennessey completed the course in 5:00:34.
Several members were running their first marathon and crossed the line together.
Susan Wood and Rita Ledwards posted times of 5:15:44, Jackie Cairns 5:15:45 and Joanne Darby 5:15:46.
