ALL three Bolton at Home Sunday Football League teams marched on to the fourth round of the Lancashire Sunday Challenge Cup.

It is more than four years since any team from the league have reached the fourth round.

And on a great day's advert for the league, Top Club, Bolton Lads and Girls Club and Bolton Town all managed to do so on Sunday.

Reigning Division One champions Top Club took star billing with an emphatic 13-0 drubbing of Wordan Rangers in Chorley.

Top Club came out of the blocks straight from the kick off and within 10 seconds were 1-0 up thanks to an excellent finish by Reece Charlton.

Wordan must have wondered what had hit them as the Little Hulton side kept up the pressure, and thanks to a brace from Travis Vaughn, another from Reece Charlton and one from Josh Smith, Top Club went in at half time 5-0 up.

Top Club showed no sympathy for the Chorley side in the second half which brought them another eight goals from Vaughn, two, Smith, Callum Smith, two, Ryan Porter two and Jame Dickie.

Bolton Lads and Girls Club, who are currently unbeaten and lying second in the league, travelled to Blackburn to take on one of the favourites, Wellington.

In a hard-fought, entertaining game they edged the outcome 4-3.

Star man for BL&GC was striker Keane Mills who scored a hat-trick.

Wellington started the stronger and with 20 minutes gone BL&GC found themselves 2-0 down.

They pulled one back on 25 minutes through an excellent finish by Corey Stringer.

The task got tougher for the Bolton side on 30 minutes when Ash Womack received his marching orders after a challenge the referee felt was worthy of a red card.

Some teams might have folded, but not BL&GC who equalised on 35 minutes with a stunning 25-yard strike from Keane Mills.

Wellington restored their lead just before half time and BL&GC recovered again to equalise midway through the second half with another long-range effort by Mills that flew into the top corner.

And the striker won the game five minutes from time by slotting past the onrushing goalkeeper.

Bolton Town's progress came after an even closer game at Wigan side Orrell Athletic which went to a penalty shootout.

The game ended 2-2 after normal time and, not for the first time this season, goalkeeper Lee Max Crompton was the hero of the hour as he saved two spot kicks to see his team through to the next round.

After a tight first half which ended goalless Bolton Town scored two goals in the first 10 minutes of the second period thanks to a John Yates brace.

Orrell hit back with a headed goal and a penalty before Bolton won the penalty shootout 4-3.

In the league there was a shock result in the Premier Division at Barlow Park where previously-unbeaten Dehaviland were hammered 7-1 by Astley Bridge Elite.

Chris Donahue hit a hat-trick with Elite's other goals coming from Kev Miftaraja, Tom Howlin, Josh McLaren and Paulo Miftaraja.

Unity Brook got their first victory of the season at home to Nelson Wanderers at the Salford Sports Village.

After going into the break 3-1 behind Unity Brook turned the game around with three second-half goals to win 4-3.

The scorers for Unity Brook were Liam Churchill, Kristian Richards and a brace from debutant Brad Jackson. Jordan Byrne, Rob Heyes and Michael Obrian replied for Nelson.

Tempest continued their improved form as they notched up their third victory of the season with an excellent 5-2 win against Grapes.

Goalscorers for Tempest were Liam Pepper, Corey Needham, Shaun McKeown, Adam Bullock and Kyle Derbyshire.
