IT was Divisional Cup day in the Bolton Sports Federation Over-35s Football League.

Division One games were knockout affairs while the other divisions were round robin contests.

In Division One, Tommy Dawson scored a hat-trick for Radcliffe Vets A while Paul Broome, Mark Westhead, Lee Webb and Dave Mallius made it seven to eliminate Salford Waggon for whom Obie Ezeh and Michael Coates scored.

Radcliffe Old Boys A also scored seven as they dispatched Queen Lizzy with a Marvin Browne hat-trick, a Dave Heaney brace and one apiece from Marc Collins and Abid Uddin, but it was far from a one-sided game as Queen Lizzy scored four

The Division Two A matches both finished 4-2 but with one home win and an away victory.

Paul Berry, two, Paul Finch and Ryan Ferris scored to give Old Bolts a home victory over Home Guard Failsworth, and Horwich St Mary’s won away at Tika Taka Volunteers.

Danny Spillman, Chris Tonge, Tommy Cardwell and Jayson Clarke steered Horwich to victory with Danny Brett and Wes Naylor replying.

With only eight players, a plucky Turton Vets fought all the way in an 11-3 defeat to Radcliffe Town Vets.

Neil Matthews scored a hat-trick for the losers, while Town's goals came from Brendan Kimmins, four, Grant Chapple, three, Andy Neil, Sam Thompson, Jimmy Jackson and Glen Pearson.

Stu Vasaya, two, and Russ Vining helped to give gave BLGC a 4-1 win at Dobbies B for whom Andy Campbell scored.

The two games in Division Three A were both relatively close. Gidlow Athletics went to Bolton Wyresdale and won by 3-2.

Jason Knowles and Martin Pool scored for Wyresdale but they were undone by a Martin Meehan double and one by Lee Sherman.

Moss Bank went down 6-4 to Radcliffe Old Boys B.

Adam Hickey, two, Chris Roberts and Gaz Naylor scored for Moss Bank with Mark Owen, three, Nathan Comley and Chris Wright among the goals for the visitors.

It was one-way traffic in the Division Three B match at Radcliffe Vets B as they were hit for seven by Royal Farnworth Vets without reply.

Mark Drew scored four, Matt Crook two and Darren Ashworth one.

Ainsworth crashed to a 5-0 home defeat at the hands of Atherton Town for whom Peter Carson scored a hat-trick with Mark Bretherton and Mark Shannon contributing one each in the Division Four A game.

Bury Seniors, who have changed their name to Tottington United Veterans, came good at home to Deans Youth with a 4-2 win. John Mellor, Billy Leach, Anthony Garrnett and Paul Allen scored their goals while Andy Horrocks and Mark Brady kept Deans hope alive for much of the game.

In Division Four B, four Carl Brook goals and an own goal saw Unity Brook to a 5-2 victory at home to Wigan Town for whom Glen Muddiman scored both goals.
