In the Manchester Football League Premier Division Bolton County suffered their fifth straight defeat as they lost 4-2 to visitors Manchester Central. Bolton Lads and Girls Club enjoyed better fortunes in Division One as they won 2-1 at home to Leigh Athletic but Breightmet’s search for a first win of the season goes on as they were beaten 1-0 at home to Hollinwood in Division Two.

In Macron Cup action, Atherton LR were knocked out in with a 2-0 defeat in their second-round tie at Hallmark Security League Premier Division basement side Abbey Hey.

Daisy Hill, who lost to Abbey Hey in round one, were in league action.

They managed three goals in their First Division North match at title contenders Carlisle City but they conceded six times in a defeat that keeps them outside the bottom two by just a point.

Jack Iley, Ashley Stott and Macauley Farrington were the goalscorers for Daisy, who host Chadderton this Saturday.
