SUNDAY’S BSF Over-35s Football League programme was reduced by six postponed games – three of them in Division One due to teams playing in the County Vets Cup.

Second-placed Rochdale Sports had a comfortable 5-1 win at Queen Lizzy with Danny Stokes scoring a hat-trick and Daz Smith also on target for the winners and Lee Whiteley getting Lizzy's consolation.

Bolton Lads and Girls Club climbed to joint top of Division Two with Horwich St Mary’s but trail on goal difference despite beating Turton Vets 6-3, Stu Vasaya (two), Russ Vining (two) and Andy Clarke on target for BLGC.

Horwich also improved their goal difference by thrashing Tika Taka Volunteers 7-1.

Daniel Spilman hit a hat-trick, Sammy Cardwell a brace and Michael Cowburn and Chris Tonge one each for Horwich with John Armour scoring Tika Taka's consolation.

In Division Three, Dave Fashou, David Eyre and Martin Meehan gave Gidlow Athletic a 3-0 home win against Royal Farnworth, and leaders Radcliffe Old Boys B had comfortable 5-2 win at Moss Bank with Nathan Comley scoring a brace and Ste Duckworth, Mark Woolford and Steve Clarke getting Radcliffe’s other goals.

Division Four leaders Heaton Casuals won 3-0 at Deans Youth with Clint McLaughlin scoring two and Chris Sutcliffe the other.

Ainsworth kept pace with the leaders and have game in hand, but their goal difference is just half that of free-scoring Heaton.

Ainsworth beat bottom side Tottington United for whom Anthony Anderson was on target. Danny Coyle, Michael Jefferson and Martin Jones saw Ainsworth to victory.

The other matches in the division both ended in 4-2 away wins.

Noel Coleman and Tony Dunn scored for PF Bury, but Unity Brook hit back with four goals, and a Martin Hastings double for Wigan Town was wiped out by Atherton Town's Martin Jordan (two), Pete Higgins and Dennis Hilton.
