JASON Lowe insists Wanderers will head to Norwich City this weekend a team united – regardless of money issues at the club.

Players should find out this morning if they have been paid their November salary by Ken Anderson.

No explanation has yet been offered by the Bolton owner for the delay and some reports claim some members of the squad could be looking to move on elsewhere in January as a result of the financial problems.

But as preparations for the trip to Carrow Road begin in earnest, Lowe assured supporters the players’ focus will be fixed on the game.

“The boys are in this together,” he told The Bolton News. “Word spreads about and whatever happen, we’ll have to deal with it. We all have families and lives to live, so it’s been important to know where we stand.

“It has all been well documented but we know as footballers that on a Saturday we have to put it all behind us. We can’t carry anything like that out there on to the pitch.

“We have got a group who will get on with the job and give everything for the shirt. You saw that on Saturday against Wigan, I think it was a decent point.

“One thing we have got, and I have said this all along, is a spirit, a togetherness and a willingness to do the right thing.

“I am sure that kind of attitude will work out and that we’ll get points on the board. We’ll keep plugging away.”

Wanderers go to the Championship leaders as heavy underdogs yet Lowe believes adversity could still have a positive effect on the team.

“There are no free hits in this division, and if you think that you’ll come a cropper,” he said.

“We will focus on the job. We’ll go there to be solid, difficult to beat, and try to create chances.

“When you’ve been in a situation like we have, it almost forces you to have that togetherness, which can definitely be lost when you have got a run of results like we’ve been on. That hasn’t been the case, thankfully, because I have seen it happen before.

“We will fight. It’s a tough game at the weekend but it can be done.”
