PERSISTENT rain reduced the BSF Over-35s Football League programme to just two games on Sunday, both played on 3G pitches.

In Division One, two clubs who have played fewer games than most of the teams in the division fought out a 2-2 draw.

Third-placed Radcliffe Vets A missed the chance to go second, but had they won they would have become the first team to beat Barhill Vets this season.

Daniel Adamson scored both the Radcliffe goals while Lee Cox and Matty Campbell replied for the visitors.

Radcliffe have two games in hand on both of the teams above them and are four points behind the leaders.

Barhill are fifth but have played a game less than Sunday's opponents and are six points off top spot.

Division Two leaders Bolton Lads and Girls Club had a narrow 3-2 victory over AFC Dobbies B thanks to two goals from Stu Vayasa and one by Andy Kitchen.

The win put BLGC three points clear of Horwich St Mary's at the top of Division Two but are the only team to have played nine matches, one more than Horwich who have a superior goal difference.
