Radcliffe Old Boys A stayed top of Division One as they beat AFC Dobbies A 5-1 with Abid Uddin scoring two as Marc Collins, Carl Lomax and Marvin Browne each scored one. But they failed to keep a clean sheet as Anthony Healey netted for Dobbies.

Second-placed Rochdale Sports also scored five, but conceded four. Daz Smith scored four and Paul Sykes one, but Bar Lane Bowling Club pushed them all the way with goals from Craig Richardson, Paul Fletcher, Adam Howarth and Craig Emery.

Bar Hill stay third and have two games in hand, but dropped points against Salford Waggon. Bryan Love scored for the home side but a Paul Taylor strike for Salford dented their title hopes.

Salford Victoria won the mid-table battle with Queen Lizzy as goals by Allan Houghton and Carl O’Mally secured a 2-1 home win.

Horwich St Mary’s reclaimed top spot in Division Two on goal difference after thrashing Turton Vets 7-1. Darren Holt scored for Turton, but they were no match for Horwich for whom Daniel Spielman and Jason Clarke each scored a brace and Kieran Morrison, Michael Cowburn, and Christopher Tonge scored one apiece.

The other two Division Two games ended as draws, bottom side Home Guard Failsworth holding AFC Dobbies B with Scott Jeffreys and Paul Lewis scoring the Failsworth goals.

Third-placed Old Bolts are nine points clear of Tika Taka Volunteers, but Tika Taka’s goals from Danny Lowe, Wes Naylor and Graham Gahan were matched by a Paul Berry effort and a Neil Seddon double.

Division Three leaders Radcliffe Old Boys B beat Royal Farnworth Vets with goals from Buckley, Woodford and Comley, and Mark Drew scoring for the visitors.

Gidlow Athletic had a comfortable 8-2 victory over bottom side Radcliffe Vets B for whom Adam Greenhalgh and Ted Crossan scored, but Martin Meehan scored four for Gidlow with Paul Darbyshire, Ian Bentley, Craig Curless and Warren Collier adding one each.

Although Gidlow are just one point behind the leaders, they have played an extra game.

Despite an own goal by Bolton Wyresdale, they went on to beat Moss Bank 3-1 as Ric Fielding, Paul Gibson and Mark Grundy scored at the right end.

Division Four saw the biggest goal spree of the day at Unity Brook who scored four through a Greenhalgh double and one each by Gary Marshall and Mark Morris.

But they were blown away by an eight-goal blitz from Atherton Town as Peter Carson hit four, Scott Mulcrow two and Martin Jordan and Karl Duncan one apiece.

At the other end of the scale, Angelo Texeira and John Mellor scored for Tottington United against Deans Youth who failed to find the net.

Ainsworth FC went to PF Bury and came away with a 5-3 victory despite Noel Coleman scoring a hat-trick for the home side, while high-flying free-scoring Heaton Casuals beat Wigan Town 2-1. Chris Sutcliffe scored both goals for Heaton while a Mark Cowburn strike for Wigan kept the game tight.
