THE BSF Over-35s Football League saw six games postponed on Sunday due to the rain and waterlogged pitches.

In Division One, Queen Lizzie went third, overtaking Bar Hill who dropped a place to fourth after losing to Rochdale Sports.

Goals from Lee Whitely and Russell Fox gave Lizzy victory over AFC Dobbies A for whom Andrew Buckley scored.

Lizzy are now a point ahead of Barhill who have a couple of games in hand on them.

These could mathematically put them above second-placed Rochdale Sports who beat Barhill 5-3.

Daz Smith scored a hat-trick for Rochdale while Jermaine Peters and Wayne Traynor added one apiece, and a Paul Berry hat-trick kept Bar Hill in the match.

Radcliffe Vets A are in fourth place with 13 points, but have played only six games and have the potential to top the division.

The only surviving game in Division Two was on the artificial pitch at Bolton Lads and Girls Club who beat Home Guard Failsworth 7-2.

Despite turning up with only nine men and their manager, Failsworth were two goals up at half time, but tired after the break and succumbed to a Stu Vayasa hat-trick, a Russ Vining double and goals by Vijay Mistry and Jonathon Abernethy.

BLGC went top above Horwich St Mary’s whose game at AFC Dobbies B was postponed.

Radcliffe Vets B stay bottom of Division Three without a point, but made a valiant effort as James Ashton scored a hat-trick before they went down 5-3 at home to Royal Farnworth Vets for whom Mark Drew netted a hat-trick and Matty Crook and Kev Callaghan hit one each.

In Division Four, bottom side Deans Youth had a good 3-1 win at Wigan Town with Steve Lockett, Andy Horrocks and Ben Donohoe scoring in their second victory of the season.

Dean Ainscough scored for Wigan Town to deny them a clean sheet.

Tottington United beat Unity Brook to join Wigan and Unity Brook on nine points, but have played more games than the teams above them. Noel Worsley and Kris Dumbarton scored the Tottington goals while Roy Greenhaulgh was on target for the visitors.

Third-placed Atherton Town beat PF Bury Vets thanks to a Martin Jordan double and a Neil Challener goal.

Noel Coleman scored the goal for PF Bury Vets.
