THE Bolton Wanderers Supporters’ Trust say they are looking into ways they can provide emergency help for unpaid staff at the club.
More than 400 full and part-time staff were left without pay on Thursday with club owner Ken Anderson asking for staff’s “continued patience” whilst he worked “through the sale process” in an email last week.
It is now understood that the club is considering requests for small cash advances to pay immediate bills.
The trust are examining similar options and are expected to confirm their plans shortly.
A statement released last night read: “The BWFCST Board confirm that they are urgently looking at all available options for assisting non-playing staff who are experiencing financial difficulties as a result of non-payment of February wages, without disrupting any ongoing club governance matters.”
