LAST weekend I watched Brentford with an old friend who told me their fortunes changed when a fan bought it and reorganised the whole club.

My friend’s message was the new owner was a fan, and really cared about the club, and had the business acumen to run it in a financially-sound manner.

It seems amazing two years ago Wanderers were celebrating promotion and the promise of good things to come.

Even less than a year ago, we were celebrating the dramatic last-day survival, which I stupidly thought was the turning point in Wanderers' rebuilding.
