WANDERERS have kept their supporters' nerves shredded throughout the season, and their 2-1 win at Queens Park Rangers typified that.

Few will give Phil Parkinson's side a prayer of producing another great escape but they at least rebounded brilliantly from their 5-2 drubbing a fortnight earlier.

The Whites led at the end of a fairly uneventful first half, Will Buckley benefiting from a touch of the luck that has deserted Bolton this season, when QPR keeper Joe Lumley palmed Josh Magennis' goalbound header onto the onrushing Buckley, the bounce falling kindly as the ball rebounded over the goal line.

It took until 20 minutes remained for Wanderers to hit the second goal, once again the willingness to gamble and bomb forward paying dividends, this time for Callum Connolly, who was on hand to turn in the loose ball when Lumley saved Sammy Ameobi's shot.

QPR sub Nahki Wells ensured a nervous 10 minutes to the game for Wanderers when he found the bottom corner beautifully, but they held out to kjeep their slim hopes of avoiding the drop alive.
