FRANK Lampard says he was disappointed his Derby side did not put double figures past Wanderers on Saturday.

Mason Mount’s hat-trick helped reignite the Rams play-off push but former Chelsea and England midfielder Lampard admitted after the game that he felt the margin of victory should have been greater.

"We scored four good goals - we could have scored towards double figures, I thought, the way we played." said Lampard. "That's my one disappointment, my one gripe with the game.

“Once we got that first goal we played some lovely football and won comfortably.

"I think it was a bit difficult for the players there, and the fans, actually, because it was one of those difficult games where we're expected to win, and we haven't got much to gain in those terms.

"They came to defend in their own half, which can make it quite difficult, unless you move the ball quickly.

"That was the turning point in the game - when we actually started to turn and face people up, try to beat people, play and run. Once we did that, particularly players like Mason, Harry (Wilson) and Tom Lawrence, the game opened up."
