LUCA Connell has thanked Wanderers for helping him achieve a dream move to Celtic.

The 18-year-old midfielder signed a four-year deal at Parkhead last weekend and could be playing Champions League football this season.

Connell has been with Bolton since the Under-9s age group and was first noticed by Bolton talent-spotter Brian Morris and signed up by Nicky Spooner.

He went through the age groups to play first team football under Phil Parkinson last season but angered some fans last week by forcing through a £350,000 move to the SPL champions by handing in his notice.

"The last 10 years has been an incredible journey at Bolton," Connell posted on Instagram.

"There's too many people for me to mention individually, but I want to sincerely thank everyone at the club who has helped me grow into the footballer and person I am today.

"To the Bolton fans, I can't thank you enough for the support you showed us each week. Even through the tough times, your passion always inspired me to give it everything I had.

"BWFC will always be special to me."
