BURNDENER Andy Dunleavy continued his fine form by claiming first V60 and a personal-best time of 1hr 32mins 47secs at the Hatters Trail half marathon in Stockport.

Mumtaz Patel was third woman in a time of 1:53:18 and Paul Drew ran 1:56:23 at the Ribbleway Trail half marathon in Longton – an out-and-back course on a grassy terrain.

Jen Forkin completed the 10k course at the same event in a time of 1:07:00 as club runners ventured far and wide to compete.

Burnden had five runners at the Salford City fast 10k race, starting at Media City and taking in parts of Trafford Park and Old Trafford before returning to Media City.

Mel Walker was third V75 in a season's best of 51:06, while Kate Ellis was sixth out of 32 in the V55 section in a time of 46:03 and Aidy Ashburn came home with a 10k PB of 44:54.

Other Finishers were Lee White (40:23) and Chris Worthington (42:45).

Further afield, Mark Jackson took part in his latest marathon, this time the Yorkshireman Trail marathon which included 3,336 feet of elevation.

He finished in a time of 6:17:09.

At the world famous Great North Run, Dave Newman came home in a time of 1:55:00 and Diane Wylie finished in 2:14:19.

At the Derwent Water 10k in the Lake District, Burnden were represented by Gayle Gerrard (1:03:01) and Nicole Hardy (1:26:08).

In parkrun this week, Phil Glassbrook completed his 100th run at Bolton.

The travelling continued with Tim Taylor coming 12th overall at Tewkesbury in a time of 23:27, and not to be outdone, two members travelled north to run the Herrington Country Park run, near Sunderland.

Simon Marland (22:07) was first in his age category along with Sue Blackman (34:51).
