THIS week’s delve into the picture archives at The Bolton News has unearthed this photograph of the Bolton Under-14s town team from June 1984.

The information accompanying the picture says the team achieved NW Trophy success that year.

Do you remember that team or recognise anyone pictured?

Did you play for the team at that time or have any other memories?

THE second picture featured in the sporting nostalgia section on September 13 and is of an Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School football team from May 1980.

Michael Gregory, who is on the picture, now lives out of the area but was told about the picture being in The Bolton News.

He got in touch and said: "I now live in the south east but my brother-in-law and a good friend from secondary school sent me a note saying you had featured a picture.

"Those are happy memories. I recognise Nick Sutton to my left, Jimmy Blair to the right of Carl.

"To the right of Jimmy is Craig Howlin, then Chris Gorman.

"Immediately behind me is Sean Howlin (Craig and Sean are twins) and behind Carl is Lee Kemp.

"Linda Gregory, my older sister, also went to Our Lady of Lourdes at the same time and she has taught at the school for more than 25 years and is the current headteacher."
