WANDERERS have been handed a home draw against Plymouth Argyle in the first round of the FA Cup.

Keith Hill – a former Plymouth defender – will take charge of his first FA Cup tie at Bolton, with the game scheduled to take place between November 8 and 11.

Former Bury boss Ryan Lowe and his assistant Stephen Schumacher quit Gigg Lane in the summer and took a raft of players from his promotion squad before the club were expelled from the EFL.

Argyle also have within their ranks former Bolton academy defender, Joe Riley.

Wanderers have only once before met Plymouth in FA Cup action. Way back in 1935, two goals from Jack Milson, one from Ray Westwood and an own goal helped them qualify for the fifth round with a 4-1 victory at Home Park.
