At the back: Jason Shackell – Joined the club on a free transfer from Derby County in August 2018 and gives the defence a huge amount of experience.

In the middle: Jorge Grant – Arrived in the summer from Nottingham Forest and has provided a club-high six league assists this season, with two goals.

Up front: Tyler Walker – The son of ex-England international Des Walker and former Wanderers loanee is The Imps’ top scorer with 12 goals in 24 league games this season.

“I couldn’t wait until half-time if I’m honest because I needed to get them in and calm them down because they could have caved in after the goal.

“The performance in the second half was outstanding, we were unlucky to hit the crossbar and their keeper pulled off a number of saves.

Referee

Neil Hair: The Cambridgeshire official has issued 57 yellow cards and three reds in his 18 games this season. This game will be the first time he has taken charge of Wanderers and only the third for Lincoln.

Lincoln City are undefeated in their last five home games in the league, winning four. Their last defeat in the league at Sincil Bank was back on September 21, where they were beaten 6-0 by Oxford United.

Wanderers have only won once on the road this season, a 2-0 midweek victory on October 22 against Bristol Rovers.
