WANDERERS have tied down highly-valued winger Dennis Politic to a contract extension, keeping him at the UniBol until the summer of 2022.
Politic, who first joined the Whites as a 15-year-old, earned plenty of plaudits as he rose through the youth ranks at the academy and signed his first professional deal in 2018, just ahead of spending the season on loan with Salford City, then a National League side.
He netted twice in 11 outings for the Ammies and, after making his Wanderers debut this term, has 21 appearances so far, with a goal in each of the League Cup, Leasing.com Trophy and League One to his name.
“I’m very grateful to the gaffer for giving me this opportunity, trusting me and giving me the chance to sign this new deal," the 19-year-old told the club's official website.
“At this club, it’s great for young players to get into the first team, so I’m just going to work as hard as I can to get as many minutes as I can in the first team.
“I’ve enjoyed getting game time and scoring goals is always a good feeling and playing in front of big crowds, especially home ones.
“The supporters have been very supportive of me which I appreciate. Hopefully, I carry on playing as well as I can and get as many goals as I can.”
