WANDERERS will make a bid to re-sign Liam Bridcutt on the final day of the January transfer window.

The Nottingham Forest midfielder has had other clubs interested in taking him on loan this month – but as yet no offer has materialised.

Keith Hill confirmed that he will be in contact with the Championship club today to see if a deal can be sorted, although he reiterated that he only wants ONE more loan in his squad after securing the signature of Sheffield United’s Kean Bryan yesterday.

It is understood that James Weir will be offered out on loan today in an effort to free up more space but there is no chance of a return for Stoke City winger Thibaud Verlinden.

“There are a certain amount of restrictions and we got it done last time with Liam but we know it might go down to the last minute this time,” Hill said. “He is always welcome back here.

“He makes us stronger. We have got to be mindful of the five loan signings, we don’t want the predicament of having six and then leaving one out.

“The dynamics of the squad has to be that we’re in it together, fighting in every one of those 19 games remaining.

“We have got a lot of irons in the fire. We are trying to recruit to make us better and have 19 games left that we’re optimistic of getting points in those games. Some of those signings will drop in, some won’t.”
