WANDERERS went home from St Andrew’s empty-handed after Max Biamou’s late winner for Coventry – but how did the players fare?

The Bolton News:

WANDERERS (4-4-2)

REMI MATTHEWS… 6 Made three very good saves but question marks hang heavy over his command of the penalty box on the day. A real mixed bag.

JOSH EMMANUEL…6 Culpable for some sloppy defending on the first goal but recovered to have a decent enough game in the end.

TOTO NSIALA… 5.5 Ended up with a nasty head injury, which forced him off the pitch. Hadn’t been at his sharpest before that, though.

KEAN BRYAN… 6.5 Improved as the game went on and was in command midway through the second half until Nsiala’s injury forced Wanderers into a rethink.

BRANDON FLEMING… 6.5 Hard afternoon for the youngster up against Coventry’s danger man Dabo. He kept going, though, and has a tremendous work-rate.

DENNIS POLITIC…7 Could have scored another wonder goal in the first half and consistently looked Bolton’s biggest threat. Deserved to get on the scoresheet in the second half.

JASON LOWE…6 Steady if not spectacular performance with precious little football being played through midfield for long spells of the game.

LUKE MURPHY… 6 Like Lowe, seemed to be on the fringes for the most part, tasked more with tracking a very mobile Coventry midfield.

ETHAN HAMILTON… 5.5 Has been one of Wanderers’ most effective performers in the last few weeks but here he struggled to get into the game at all.

CHRIS O’GRADY… 7.5 Came out all guns firing in the second half and consistently beat his man on the left. Created the goal and very nearly helped himself to one too.

DARYL MURPHY… 5.5 Had one golden chance which was saved well by the Cov keeper. Aside from that, he didn’t assert himself that much on the game.
