WANDERERS are likely to be without defender Toto Nsiala in tomorrow night’s game at Doncaster Rovers.
The on-loan Ipswich Town man was taken off after a clash of heads with Coventry’s Callum O’Hare on Saturday which left his opponent needing several stitches.
It has now been confirmed that Nsiala was unconscious for a moment on the pitch and so he will need to be given medical clearance before stepping foot on the pitch.
“Toto has to be cleaned up and assessed before we play Doncaster on Tuesday,” Keith Hill said yesterday. “It isn’t so much the damage he has suffered but more that he was deemed unconscious, so it’s a whole bucket of different fish.”
Ryan Delaney could come in for his full debut but Hill also has the option of Liam Edwards or the fit-again Jack Hobbs to partner Kean Bryan in the middle.
Midfielder Ronan Darcy has also been ruled out by the Bolton boss with a foot injury.
“He’s convalescing,” Hill added. “There’s no damage but he’s not fit for Tuesday.
“Again, there’s a scenario where he has had a similar situation in the past where it might need an injection and a bit of rest time.
“We’re hopeful but we can’t rush the process.”
