Bolton head to Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday night for the game that everyone’s talking about.
WANDERERS TEAM NEWS
Wanderers are likely to be without defender Toto Nsiala.
Ryan Delaney could come in for his full debut but boss Keith Hill also has the option of Liam Edwards or the fit-again Jack Hobbs to partner Kean Bryan in the middle.
KEITH HILL ON POSTPONEMENT
Keith Hill says he can see both sides of the argument and anticipates that there might be an edge about the atmosphere given events back in August.
“I don’t think it will affect my players but it might the supporters,” he told The Bolton News. “What has been said and what’s happened can’t be avoided. It’s how we deal with it.”
DONCASTER BOSS: WE’VE MOVED ON
Doncaster boss Darren Moore believes his players will be unaffected by any lingering resentment over the club’s postponed game against Bolton Wanderers earlier this season.
“The game is here and what has gone on has gone on. We’ve moved past that now and we’re just focusing on the game in hand and what will be a hotly contested game,” he said.
‘OUT OF OUR HANDS’
Bolton skipper Jason Lowe knows that the background is likely to add some spice to tonight’s occasion, even if he is one of the few playing staff still around who was involved at the time.
Wanderers cancelled the game citing “welfare concerns” for the youngest members of their squad.
STORM CIARA
Wanderers braved the elements during Storm Ciara to prepare for the game – but Keith Hill was wary of piling too much information on his players.
The squad gathered at Lostock on Monday afternoon for a tactical meeting indoors while the winds whipped around the training ground – but the flooding which had been problematic at the weekend had died down.
CHRIS O’GRADY SILENCING HIS CRITICS?
Chris O’Grady is winning the battle with his critics at Bolton – and Keith Hill puts it down to gold old fashioned graft.
FACTS AND STATS
Wanderers have won their last three meetings with Donny stretching back to 2007 when two goals from Adranik and one apiece from Kevin Davies and Idan Tal earned a 4-0 victory.
