JOE Bunney, Jacob Mellis and Ryan Delaney featured for the development squad as they were beaten 3-0 by Wigan Athletic this afternoon.
Ten of the starting line-up named at Christopher Park have had first-team experience but the team got off to a difficult start when Sean McGurk lashed home a shot from the edge of the box.
Just seven minutes later former Wanderers midfielder Alex Perry drove home Wigan’s second, teed up by McGurk.
The Latics made it three a few minutes into the second half as Divin Banita crossed low for Charlie Jolley to slide the ball into the back of the net.
Wanderers’ starting line-up: Alexander, Brockbank, Bunney, Delaney, Senior, Edwards, Graham, Thomason, King-Harmes, Mellis, Brown-Sterling.
