WANDERERS are unsure whether top-scorer Daryl Murphy will make tomorrow’s home game against Peterborough United.

The Irishman has been struggling to overcome an Achilles problem and sat out the midweek draw against Burton Albion.

The club confirmed yesterday that captain Jason Lowe will be out for the next couple of weeks with a low-grade hamstring tear, sustained in the recent trip to Wimbledon.

And David Flitcroft is not confident that Murphy will be ready to face promotion-chasing Posh, which is likely to leave Joe Dodoo starting his second consecutive game as the central striker.

“Daryl’s got an Achilles problem and he has been carrying it for quite a few weeks, missing a little bit of training, and we’ve been trying to manage the injury site,” he told The Bolton News.

“It is one of them – we’ll know more when we get on the training ground and assess things over Thursday and Friday but we feel at this moment as if he and Lowey will be a doubt.

“Two senior players who are big voices in the dressing room – they are big misses, that is for sure.”
