WANDERERS are not considering a move for former winger Filipe Morais, The Bolton News understands.

Website reports yesterday claimed the 34-year-old Crawley wide man was ‘in talks’ with previously employers Bolton and Bradford City.

But as Ian Evatt continued to talk with several players yesterday, the likelihood of ‘The Postman’ making a return was played down.

Meanwhile, Crewe Alexandra could be set to give two former Wanderers a League One lifeline.

Luke Murphy and Joe Dodoo are understood to interest Alex, who gained promotion from League Two last season.

David Artell’s side is looking to recruit some third-tier experience and had also checked on veteran front man Daryl Murphy before he agreed a move to his hometown club of Waterford in Ireland.

Luke Murphy is a former Crewe academy graduate who made 186 appearances in all competitions for the Cheshire club between 2008 and 2013 before earning a £1million move to Leeds United.

His two years with Wanderers were fraught with financial difficulties but the 30-year-old was one of a small handful of players who remained with the club through administration and he made 32 appearances in last season’s relegation year, scoring twice.

Dodoo is also searching for a new club after leaving Bolton and Crewe are one of a few clubs in League One who are thought to be interested in signings him this summer.

The former Rangers and Leicester City striker scored four times for Wanderers last season in 27 outings, of which 18 were starts.
