JACK Cullen’s opponent for his appearance at Eddie Hearn’s ‘Fight Camp’ has been confirmed.

Little Lever’s Meat Cleaver will take on Zak Chelli on August 22 in the final one of the events taking place outdoors in Matchroom Boxing’s headquarters in Brentwood, Essex.

Former English middleweight champion Cullen had been scheduled to take on Irishman Jason Quigley behind closed doors, only for the former amateur star to pull-out the night before the fight was set to be announced.

Fulham’s former Southern Area super-middleweight champion Chelli has now stepped in however.

The 22-year-old has won seven of eight and has three knockouts on his record, his only defeat coming last time out against Welshman Kody Davies up at light-heavyweight.

Cullen stopped Tomas Andres Reynoso in two rounds at the Manchester Arena in March to rebound from his thrilling defeat to Felix Cash last November as he came up short in a challenge for the Commonwealth middleweight title.

This fight will take place over 10 rounds at super-middleweight, the 26-year-old Tommy Battel-trained fighter having won 18 of 20 fights as a professional.

If all goes to plan it could be that Cullen permanently moves up to the 168lb division.

Week four of ‘Fight Camp’ is headlined by Dillian Whyte defending his interim WBC heavyweight world title against Alexander Povetkin.

The night also sees Irish legend Katie Taylor put her WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO and Ring Magazine lightweight crowns on the line in a rematch against Belgium's Delfine Persoon.

Luther Clay also defends his WBO Global welterweight title against Chris Kongo.
