THE semi-finalists in the Bolton Cricket League’s Dixon Air Conditioning T20 competition will be decided on Sunday.

The four last eight ties will see Horwich host Tonge, Heaton welcome Westhoughton, Darcy Lever head to Golborne and Astley Bridge at home to Little Lever.

Tonge sealed their place in the last eight after victories against Heaton and Kearsley in the final round of group games.

In the first match of the double header, Saliq Rasheed, 59, and Luca Williams Denton, 37, steered Heaton to 125-3, but Sam Hardman’s 48 took his team to a four-wicket victory.

Hasib Patel then made 48 out of 126-8 for Tonge against Kearsley who saw Mohammad Jameel give them a chance with 45 as they fell 13 runs short.

Horwich also recorded back-to-back victories, with Joe Settle making 46 in Lostock’s 105-4, before Brett Pelser, 36, and Tom Billington, 44, shared a 68-run partnership on the way to a six-wicket victory.

Billington also starred in the second game with 79 not out against Westhoughton, supported by Dean Morris with 41.

Uzzair Shah and Matthew Morris added 94 for the first wicket for Westhoughton but there was never the momentum to challenge the Horwich total and the visitors finished 33 runs short.

At Little Hulton, Arslan Javid hit 55 out of the host’s 121-9 against Golborne, Brett Houghton taking 3-21 with the ball.

Joe Smith, 48, and Jake Waterworth, 55, gave Golborne an eight-wicket victory.

Adil Nisar recorded the best bowling figures to date taking 7-15 for Little Lever in Little Hulton’s 126-9 but finished on the losing side as Junaid Jamal took 4-9 and Tajamul Khan 3-18 as Lever were bowled out for 87.

That saw Golborne qualify as group winners with Lever going through as runners-up.

Tilaksha Malshan smashed 117 in Astley Bridge’s 196-7 making them group winners as Walkden could only respond with 119-8, Usman Tarim making 35.

Darcy Lever also qualify from the group after totalling 142-6 versus Adlington. Gareth Hopkinson helped Darcy to an 86-run victory with 4-9.
