WANDERERS could have Tom White back in the squad to face Cambridge United on Saturday.

The midfielder returning to training today after two weeks out of action with an ankle injury.

It was feared that Blackburn loanee White could be side-lined until the end of the year when he was clattered by former Bolton midfielder Josh Vela in the EFL Trophy defeat at Shrewsbury Town on October 8.

Scans revealed no serious damage to his knee or ankle and the 23-year-old has now re-joined his team-mates at Lostock ahead of this weekend’s game.

Nathan Delfouneso should also be available after missing the midweek trip to Barrow to be with his wife at the birth of his baby boy, who arrived on Wednesday.

Shaun Miller and Lloyd Isgrove have also returned to full training after a mini ‘boot camp’ in the last couple of weeks but are unlikely to be rushed into action to ensure no further injuries are picked up.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Ian Evatt brought us up to speed on his options.

“Nathan Delfouneso is back. Congratulations to him and his missus, they’ve had a little boy which is great news, with no complications, which is excellent, so he’s back available.

“Tom White has trained today and is back available. Lloyd Isgrove is very close to being back available.

“Shaun Miller is very close to being back available.

“All of a sudden, we’re getting people back and we look like we’ve got a strong squad. It’s positive news on the injury front. “
