WANDERERS fans will not be able to buy individual match passes for Friday night’s clash with Salford City.

The game, which will be screened live on Sky Sports, can be accessed as normal by season ticket holders watching on the iFollow platform.

But supporters who did not buy a season ticket are reminded that there will be no option to purchase the game on the day, as per the agreement with the television broadcasters.

Friday will be the first-ever competitive meeting between Bolton and Salford City, who were the two favourites for promotion before a ball was kicked this season.

It will also be the first league game in charge for Richie Wellens, who replaced Graham Alexander at the Peninsula Stadium in time for their weekend FA Cup game against Hartlepool United.

Evatt has pledged to make changes after his side exited at the first round stage and hopes a result in front of the TV cameras could be a turning point in what has been a frustrating campaign to date.

"I have said several times now that we have been consistently inconsistent and there's no doubt the Salford game is a big one for us, an opportunity to show what we are about in front of a national audience," he said.

"There were 'some' positives (in the Crewe game) and we are getting players back from injury that have to make an impact."

The Bolton News will be operating our Matchday Live blog from the University of Bolton Stadium from 6.30pm and BBC Radio Manchester and Bolton FM will be providing live commentary.
