WANDERERS boss Ian Evatt praised a "bit of magic" as their winning streak stretched to four games.

Peter Kioso provided the decisive touch after a brilliant move by Nathan Delfouneso to secure a 1-0 win at Scunthorpe United last night.

The result moved Bolton up to 13th in the League Two table and just three points off the play-off places, and Evatt said: "I'm really pleased. I thought we controlled the game from start to finish.

"I didn't really feel under much pressure. They had one or two set pieces first half that caused us a few problems.

"It's a solid away performance but we're not going to get carried away. It's another win, a bit of magic - a very good goal again the way we worked it - a wingback getting in the box that we work on. Very pleasing.

"It's just another step to where we want to get to. We have to recover quickly and focus fully on Southend on Saturday."

He added: "The pleasing thing for me was our counter press, work ethic and work rate as a team, the way we defended from front to back was excellent. It's a solid away win.

"Away victories at any level of football against any opposition are never easy.

"To come away from home twice in the last few days and win twice is excellent.

"We just need to build. We've suffered earlier on in the season of course so you have to enjoy your victories, and we will enjoy tonight, but we are fully focused now on Southend on Saturday."
